Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan visited the Pirojpur BRAC office on Monday (August 13) morning, with Additional District Magistrate Tanjila Kabir Tropa present.

District Administrator Pirojpur was informed about various activities of BRAC and participated as the chief guest in the Sapnasarathi graduation ceremony and distributed certificates to the child marriage graduates.

In his speech, he highly praised BRAC’s activities and thanked them for organizing the exceptional graduation ceremony.
‎
The event was presided over by BRAC Regulatory Affairs Divisional Manager Bibash Chandra Tarafdar. The event was moderated by BRAC District Coordinator Md. Hasibul Islam.

In addition, various senior officials of BRAC Regional Office were present at the program.

It is noteworthy that under the BRAC Social Empowerment and Legal Assistance Program, 1,750 girls aged 13-17 have formed Sapnasarathi teams in 70 groups in Pirojpur district, who will move forward towards their own destinations with their own dreams and at the same time will play a role in building a healthy society by preventing child marriage. At the event, 32 Sapnasarathi were awarded Child Marriage Graduation Certificates and this year 211 people in the district will be awarded the same certificate.
